Carers Workshops starting Thursday 23rd February in Weston

The Carers workshops are a collection of 5 individual sessions. Our workshops our designed to allow you to attend just one, two or all. If you would like to repeat any, that is ok too.

Workshop 1 – Managing your Stress Levels – 23rd February. Managing your stress levels is a workshop which will give you the opportunity to gain an understanding of what stress is and to gain some techniques for managing it.

Workshop 2 – Improving how you feel about yourself – 2nd March. Improving how you feel about yourself is a workshop which will give you the opportunity to look at becoming more compassionate towards yourself as a carer. It will also help you gain some techniques for improving your self worth.

Workshop 3 – Managing your frustation – 9th March. Managing your frustrations is a workshop which looks at how we can say “no” as a carer and offers techniques to help us deal with any anger we may feel towards professionals we may come in contact with as a carer.

Workshop 4 – Coping with change – 16th March. Coping with change is a workshop which focuses on gaining an understanding of managing change and will teach you some useful techniques for helping you solve problems that might occur for you as a carer.

Workshop 5 – Keeping your spirits up – 23rd March. Keeping our spirits up is a workshop which will help you identify when you are feeling low and teach you some useful tools and techniques for lifting your mood.

These workshops will run from 10am until 12pm on the dates above.

All the carer workshops will give you the opportunity to meet other carers so you can learn and share your experiences and knowledge with one another. At the end of each workshop, you will receive a resource sheet which will hopefully help and support you in your caring role.

We will provide you with handouts and materials, so all you have to bring is yourself. The venue offers tea making facilities and at each workshop there will be a fifteen minute comfort break.
