Changing habits is hard – losing weight and making lifestyle changes are no exception.
Positive Step offers a course which can help you become more motivated to change and will show you how to overcome some of the obstacles to weight loss. It is run a member of the psychology service with one session run by a dietician.
- Thinking about change
- Mental blocks, thinking patterns and emotions
- Dealing with cravings
- Healthy, balanced eating

To attend this course you should have a BMI between 25-40. You can calculate your BMI at www.nhs.uk/BMI. If your BMI is above 40 you may be suitable for support with your weight from another service, please contact your GP to discuss this. If your BMI is below 25 but you would still like to think about eating healthily or being more active click here for your options. If your BMI is over 40 and you would like support with wieght management, please talk to your GP about alternative support.
